The staff here were pleasant. The room small and dated. In dire need of a good clean. Roof leaked onto the already musty smelling bed when it rained. the ceiling came in on the landing outside our room. my husband said the breakfast was good and there certainly was a great amount options but having seen the cleanliness of the hotel... "Please do not book for this hotel. The young lady at reception was very nice and pleasant but the stairs from reception up to the bedrooms were the first give away. When we opened the room door the musty smell was awful. The rooms look nice enough on website pics but on closer inspection their 'Premier' room was a disgrace... More

Very disappointed by this B&B; our rooms were very dated , which wouldn't have been a problem if they were at least clean ! the bath was dirty and the wardrobe had been there so long that it no longer included doors! on asking the receptionist if it was possible to be moved to different rooms we were informed that... I have just returned from a horrible stay at the mount hotel. We checked in late and went to our room. It was so dirty. I pulled back the bedding and there was hairs and marks all in the bed. The sink, toilet, carpets, cups, kettle, and towels were full of dirt. I cleaned everything with some handwash and a hand... More

Thankyou too all at the mount once again for another fantastic break away. Our room was lovely the shower was hot and refreshing, we had a sea view and was even better as we could see the lights. Breakfast was beautiful again lots of lovely thick bacon and sausages and as much of it as you can eat. The mount... More

Stayed over the weekend and were booked into room 10, the bathroom needs knocking down, bath board looks chewed, paint over the tiles is peeling, towels rough, altogether bathroom grotty, room very dated. Young receptionist was lovely but never saw sight nor sound of the landlady think she was avoiding us. Lots of signs telling you what you can't do.... More

We booked late for one night only, our room was on the top floor, 6 flights of stairs to access as there is no lift! The double room was quite small and on arrival had only 1 cup and no towels. Complained to reception and another cup was provided, but only one bath and one hand towel so had to... More

All i'm saying is that the hotel does not have 6 flights of stairs. We have 3 flights of stairs. Make your own mind up on whether to trust this review or not. Mathew Greenwood Manager. More
