As Travelodges go, this one is in excellent condition. It appears fairly new and doesn't yet look tired.- though you are getting a Travelodge so the room is fairly basic and the decor etc is standard.. However, the hotel lacks any noise insulation - so getting any sleep is nigh on impossible. Not only is there a huge noise from... More

What a shambles . A catalogue if disasters from booking errors, tv and remotes not working, keys not working and all 5 rooms in our booking not made up for the right number of people... Leaving aside the 6 hour wait for bedding and having to get it ourselves... The worst thing??? A stranger having a key to a room... More

First room we were given was on the main road and extremely noisy. The sheet on the pull out bed was covered in purple stains.Clearly the 'cleaner' had failed to notice! Kettle was absolutley disgusting so went down to reception who kindly offered us another room. Upon closer inspection of this room we quickly realised that their cleaner is definitely... More

The hotel is in a great position in the centre of Leicester and the reception staff are friendly and very helpful- that's the good points out of the way, now where do we start. We were given our room on arrival, went up 3 floors opened the door and the room wasn't even ready, back down to reception, all apologies,... More

Very close to St. Margaret s bus station. Comfortable rooms, pleasant staff. I visited from Trinidad and stayed with my daughter en route to the British Bird fair at Rutland. Stayed there on my five visits to the UK and would be staying again this year. I would definitely stay there in the future.

The room was ok but not particularly clean, great location for centre but also next door to a casino which was quite noisy - although they do state this on their website before you book. We were unlucky enough to book the same weekend as a party of nightclubbers who managed to cancel any noise from outside with their own... More

It's very central, and if you keep an eye on the rates it can be very cheap. The bathroom in my room was spotlessly clean. Reception staff were friendly, polite and reasonably efficient. It's not without problems, though. There was a large stain on the sofabed cushions in my room, the carpet had seen better days, the bed was lumpy... More

Disgusting room, was still dirty! Bed was passed repair I ended up sleeping on sofa bed! Didn't even want to use shower, yuk! The whole room smelt musty! We had a quick drink in bar, we were only ones in there listening to music channel. The girl on reception turned it over to rugby! Er hang on we don't want... More

Stayed here last year and found it a decent place to stay. Since then it has really gone down hill both with the quality of the rooms and the conduct of other guests. It's become a place to stay that's cheaper than a taxi home and therefore is not at all child friendly. The people above us played loud music... More
