We stayed at hotel maiyango as a special evening for myself and my partner, also booking into the resteraunt and wow! Amazing food, cocktails and wine in the resteraunt followed by a luxurious stay in the hotel and breakfast in bed the next morning. We'll definitely be booking again!

We held a party for my 60th birthday at the Maiyango last night, a dinner for 20+ people. The food was excellent and the service courteous and efficient. The function room is really well equipped and located for such bookings, with good views over the city centre from the outside balcony - not that we could make use of it... More

A classy hotel with a superb restaurant. Nice rooms - ours was only standard, but large and stylish. The restaurant is excellent, with little touches like a tiny soup "amuse bouche", sorbet and hand made chocolates as extras. Located right in the town centre .... on the Richard 111 trail if you are interested! Parking looks problematic, but they have... More

The entrance is a little bit unprepossessing, particularly as it is located next door to a taxi company, and Reception is on the top floor but the rooms are spacious, the fluffy bath towels and robes luxurious, as are the Cowshed toiletries. Coffee is not instant (ground coffee in a cafetierre) and a good selection of teas. The restaurant (a... More

Lovely hotel, great rooms, fantastic service and fantastic roof top bar. The bar opens Up(great if sunny) that overlooks the city, so location and concept is fantastic, just a pity about the view that you have (it is leicester after all). Would recommend as a nice different place to stay.

If you need somewhere to stay in Leicester, dont want to spend a fortune but like a little luxury you won't go far wrong by choosing Maiyango Boutique Hotel. For us, a great location, car park very close by which is made affordable overnight by the hotel subsidy. Staff in reception couldn't have been more helpful. Beautiful room, large, comfortable... This is a gem of a hotel. lovely rooftop bar with comfy chairs and sofas, our room was very comfortable with a kingsize bed and spacious bathroom. The touches in the room were very nice, real milk in the fridge for tea/coffee and real coffee with a percolator and nice crisps and chocolate. The breakfast gallery was lovely and the... More
