Spent two nights in Tommy Miah's last weekend while over to see Arsenal. Given that it was Cup Final weekend, coupled with a Bank Holiday weekend, accommodation was very expensive in the hotels we normally stay in. Other half booked here and got a very reasonable deal, I was really worried though, given some of the reviews. However, the location... More

It has been the most AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Booked for 5 days as I had to work in London for a conference. As it shows on the web they look kind of elegant..with windows. I arrived on Sunday at 2 in the night, the recepcionist took us...underground to a room with no windows and not great clean!!!. I wanted to complaint... More

Booked into the Raj for a night out with friends in London, booked B&B (continental breakfast). Room was small for a triple room and pretty cramped, but was clean, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was ok. Breakfast was disappointing, coffee was terrible and bread was stale, luckily it was being toasted. Good Value and simple London base, would use... More

Tommy Miah's Raj Hotel was exactly what it promised to be, and exactly what we were looking for. Rooms are quite small but very clean, with comfy beds and excellent en suite facilities. The mix of Indian fabrics and modern wallpapers make a visual treat. The tube station is a bit far to walk to, but the N73 night bus... More

I arrived at Tommy Miah’s Raj Hotel late after a long, delayed train journey. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Islington opposite a large social housing estate. The premises appear to have formerly been a corner store or public house with four floors of accommodation. The architecture appears late Victorian or Edwardian. To the casual observer it is... More

I have never before left a hotel without sampling breakfast. After staying at Tommy Miahs Raj Hotel I did. I could not bear to stay a minute longer than neccessary. The room was clean and water was hot, the postives stop there. The bathroom was 700cm x 2.5m approx. You could not bend over to clean your teeth. The bed... More

I booked this hotel for a couple of nights for when I was in London visiting family. I needed a relatively inexpensive single room. Knowing London and the typical prices, I was expecting a lot worse for the amount I had paid. My room was in the basement and was a reasonable size, certainly big enough for a couple of... More
