The Vanderbilt is situated within walking distance from the Gloucester Road tube station. It`s a hotel with a historical air, and in my view the best of British! You can feel the quiet, calm atmosphere - and let mind wander about the history within these walls. I only stayed for one night, but first impression counts, and this gave a... More

The Vanderbilt, once one of the homes of the the Vanderbilt family, is located on Cromwell Road, very near the Gloucester Road tube station in Kensington. It still retains much of the elegance of the Edwardian era; lots of brass and marble, dark wood paneling, comfortable furnishings and the occasional antique. My room was a single, located at the far... More

I stayed at the Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt on business on Friday 18th May. The hotel had been recommended for its proximity to Gloucester Road tube and it was extremely convenient in this respect. The welcome I received was warm and professional and I had high hopes for my stay. On arrival at my room I was somewhat disappointed with the stained... More

Excellent location in posh Kensington. Located 1 minute from Gloucester Road tube stop. Walking distance to Imperial College, Royal Albert Hall. Rooms were small as always in London, but clean & updated. Quiet with blackout curtains. Friendly helpful checkin & checkout.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights...originally having booked two nights I extended for a 3rd night. The room I had was typically small for a London hotel, but it was well maintained and perfect for my needs. The location is brilliant - just 2 mins walk to Gloucestor Road Tube Station. The restaurant was great also. But to... More

Lovely old world hotel in a perfect location (next to a tube stop, direct connection to Heathrow and centre). Kensington is delightful: museums, restaurants, shopping at Knightsbridge and Kensington High Street. Hyde Park is a 10 min walk. Room a bit small, but OK for London. Tea making facilities and a fridge in the room. Breakfast is excellent, but ask... More

This hotel is a converted series of row houses that are connected. The elevators were slow and small. The room was poorly arranged and outfitted. A good location but overpriced as compared to others.

We stayed here for a 40th birthday family weekend in London. Excellent location for the museums and tube stop 2 mins. Lovely welcome at the check-in desk, but we were greeted with 'I'm sorry Madam, but...' (Oh what was coming?) 'We've had to upgrade you as another guest needed your room for the walk-in shower'. Gutted (!). Suffice to say,... More
