The usual accommodation I use in London was not available so I booked into the Sidney Hotel for one night at a cost of £105 for a single room. I stayed in room 504 on the top floor. Although I booked a single room I ended up with quite a large room (by London standards) with a double bed at... More

The hotel is clean, but to say that the rooms are tiny would be an under (over?) statement. Ceilings are low, only about 2 meters, and we couldn't even open the bathroom door all the way because it bumped up against the bed. The bathroom barely had room enough to turn around, with no shelf space. It had less room... More

Very basic disappointing continental breakfast with queues for breakfast. Nowhere did it warn us that we would have to pay £10 to watch just basic TV. Central location, polite, pleasant staff and lovely art on the walls were the only advantages.

My mum, sister and I recently spent 2 nights here - rooms were nothing fantastic but beds were comfortable. The hotel is very well situated, five minutes from Victoria station, bus outside the doors, loads of taxis and pleasant reception staff. Breakfast was nothing exciting - no yoghurts or fresh fruit and cooked breakfast just average. The "bathroom" was minute... More

My wife and I stayed 2 nights in the smallest room we have ever had to share, we had to take turns to get dressed. There was lots of furniture but this just added to the problems and the en-suite was a plastic cubicle in the corner of the room. We booked and paid for Full English Breakfast but this... More

Me and my partner have just returned from a one nights stay in the Sidney hotel. We read the reviews before we book in anywhere and took note of a few negatives but sometimes we just put it down to peoples standards maybe being to high or having the ' how bad can it be' attitude. But this is my... More

I paid £135 for a room with a double bed and two singles. Modern decor, although becoming a little tired around the edges (the large bench in the bar was coming apart and really tatty). Good service from the staff, and the bar was well stocked and clean. Breakfast was a selection of bacon, sos, eggs, beans, toast plus cereals... More

I have to really be honest about our experience and feel really compelled to write this review. We booked this hotel through SuperBreaks and just wanted a really nice weekend away, where we could see shows and chill. We arrived at the hotel and checked in, our room was not ready and we had to wait. We were asked for... More

We stayed at this hotel last July 2011 had a great short break in London, this hotel is in central location, within walking distance of palace etc. Clean and comfortable rooms, breakfasts were delicious, good value for money hotel, would stay again and would recommend. Great weather was a bonus.

Location: Decent location. A good 15mins walk from Victoria Station. It's actually closer to Pimlico Station. Only several Tube stations away from the attractions. The hotel itself is actually very close to several excellent restaurants - walk up Denbigh St --> Wilton Rd and you'll see several good (but pricey) restaurants. Staff: Professional but they dont really put on friendly... More
