This hotel is in a quite location well positioned for Lancaster Gate tube station and Hyde Park. The room was as expected compact but had all that we needed for a night's stay. My only criticism of the room was that the shower mixer did not work properly and dispensed water both into the bath and shower. The water going into... More

Overall: A clean, reasonably-priced comfortable room, in a great city location. Best for tourist couples or business travelers. We stayed nine nights, booked directly on the hotel’s website, the same day as our arrival. Room rates per night varied from GPB $99, increasing to GBP $149 on weekend nights. Rates seem dependent on occupancy, although expect to have to sell... More

The rooms are compact, however the service is great as was the location. Very handy with the bar, lounge and restaurant in the hotel which also makes up for the smaller rooms. They even organised to forward on for free some clothes I had left behind.

Stayed at the Commodore 12th May for 2 nights, we were met at the door by a porter who took our luggage into reception, welcoming staff on reception very helpful with maps and directions. The reception area is lovely serving afternoon teas and snacks in a elegant setting. We had afternoon tea which had huge lovely warm scones! at a... More

I was booked into an expensive horror of a hotel for a business conference in early May for most of my stay but on my own and paying my own bill for three days before and booked into the Commodore at Lancaster Gate. I've stayed in London scores of times and usually in Mayfair in a flat. The other reviews... More

Had a wonderful stay at the Commodore early May, 2012. The Staff is amazing. Extremely helpful and friendly, it was truly a pleasure to stay at this hotel. The room was bigger than expected after reading some of the reviews here, much to my delight. I had an Executive Double room and we could with ease fit two adults and... More

Essentially we picked the hotel for its location. The staff were helpful, breakfast was good, clean but it's a really small hotel with tiny rooms.

We stayed here for 3 nights in March. It was a lovely stay, warm welcoming staff, the reception area is furnished beautifully. We had a lovely room, much larger than we expected for London. It was well appointed and very comfortable, we thought at £98 is was good value for London. Good location 2 minutes to the bus stop and... More

The staff were distant and not friendly. The lift was the smallest we have seen. The triple was was not any bigger than a small double. WIFI was charged. EVERY other accommodation we stayed at in Europe provided FREE access.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are sorry that you were disappointed on this occasion. We do not have any triple rooms in the hotel. The room you stayed in is a standard double room with a sofa bed. We advise our guests that this room is more suitable for two adults and one child.... More

Booked our 3-nights stay during Easter holidays directly at the hotel website at a good price, the hotel is nice and situated close to Lancaster Gate tube and Paddington stations. Our twin room was small (which is traditional for London city centre, however the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was rather poor consisting of plain yoghurt, boiled eggs, fruit, ham and... More
