My husband often stays here on trips to London. This time we booked last-minute and received a smaller room overlooking Queen's Gate. Although the rooms and bathrooms are more spacious on the upper floors, we still found our 2nd floor room comfortable. The shower was a lovely rain-style shower with plenty of hot water. There is a set of double... More

Our stay was wonderfull, the only let down was the bar area and the staff. We stayed for three nights. We had been out during the day arrived back about 2.45pm where we tjhought we would have a drink in the bar area. We went in and were going to sit down only to be told that we could not... More

A strange visit this one, i stayed for the first time at this boutique hotel, where everything worked, good quality staff, but the hotel just felt a little cold, not physically but lacked warmth....... all a bit strange. The room was very adequate, staff very pleasant. the restaurant nice , a bit pricey but empty.... all in all a nice... More

I am always looking for hotels that serve lone-female travellers well. The Gore is by far one of the best I have found in London in this way. Aside from its excellent location and ease of travel, it is beautiful, more like an old private club or stately home. The hotel surroundings are welcoming, as are the staff (one of... More

We stayed for a night to take advantage of proximity to the RAH.We agree with a previous reviewer about the room size and description but it was fine and well equipped for one night. We ate pretheatre dinner which was good value and efficiently served. We particularly liked the green room which serves ad lib tea coffee and cold drinks... More

Superbly placed for the Royal Albert Hall, which is why we chose the Gore. Staff are welcoming, but the room allocated was a little on the small side....lets just say the room description made full use of the English language. We had tapas and a few drinks before making our way to the RAH, food was lovely but the portions... More

My husband and I stayed here for the weekend and had a really lovely experience. Our room was quite small but very comfortable, with beautiful decor. The bathroom was very clean and had a great shower. The staff on reception were more than helpful and we found them very pleasant at all times. Breakfast in the hotel on both mornings... More

Me and my partner book a table for a early dinner on Thursday, the restaurant look lovely and lively, the food was a surprise as we choose from the theatre menu and was just superb. Our meal was actually taken to another level thank's to an Italian waitress, bud the way seem she was the one out of the only... More

Booked for an early dinner prior to concert at Royal Albert Hall. Enjoyed a cocktail before the meal, staff in the bar friendly but keener on sorting out the evening activities than providing excellent service The meal in the restaurant, a fixed price menu, was very limited in choice. My choice of pâté as a starter was a slice of... More
