One of the nice things about London is the extensive public transportation system. As long as you stay fairly close to the Underground or rail station, you can get pretty much anywhere in London or elsewhere as needed.
On my recent business trip, I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and commuted to work on the Tube each day....

Stayed here 3 nights in May 2012. Peoiple were friendly and very helpful. Room was very good, Club level worth the added cost, at least for our dates. Breakfasts were also very good. Close to a tube station in the nicest neighborhood in central london. Quiet too.

The hotel room is kept clean although it looked dated. There's tea and coffee making facilities but only if one can find a place to plug the kettle in! Booked this hotel as a last minute trip on expedia and was not disappointed. 2 minute walk to Gloucester road underground station. Nice hotel, with nice rooms. Bathrooms are, as usual in London, small. Bathroom could use an upgrade with more attention to details (paint job, chipped tiles).

I can recommend this hotel with great appreciation for the way in which they looked after me during a six week stay. The staff was tremendous and did everything they could to make me comfortable. The rooms are excellent and a good job was done by all.
