I can't comment on the actual stay in the hotel, as when I arrived they said they had had a problem with my room and had had to book me into a different hotel for the night. They were organised enough to have done this before my arrival however, and paid for both my taxi to the new hotel (which... More

Stayed here for just one night while visiting Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club. Its in a great location for Soho 10min walk. That proberly the best thing about it. £135 for a double room is a good price for the area and I would stay there again but swanky its not. Reasonably clean apart from the bathroom, hairs in shower and... More

My wife an I were looking for a cheap place to crash after an evening out in London. A quick Internet search came up with the Hallam. At £75 for 2 people with (as it turns out, a decent) breakfast included just a few blocks from the West End, it was hard to argue. The room was plenty clean and... More

Everything in this hotel is extremely dirty and old. The curtains were so dirty that they became sticky and grey, the carpet and bed sheets and the table cloth at breakfast were full of stains and the furniture was in a very bad condition. the bathroom was smelly and very humid. the single room I stayed in was very small,... I had read a few reviews which made me nervous about staying here. However, the location and price were fantastic and I thought one night won't hurt, just a bed to crash after sightseeing and a good night out. Hotel staff were ok, nothing special but room was clean, good size and we had plenty of hot water for a... More

Reception staff was polite but did not know how to resolve issues. Firstly TV was broken and reception staff spent half hour fiddling with it without any luck. Shower curtain was dirty and mouldy, dirty water built up in the shower cubicle due to blocked drain. Room was uncomfortably cold with no access to heating. Manager did not have courtesy... More

As my boyfriend and I were going to London for a few days as a last minute break, I saw this hotel and thought although it's cheap, it would be basic but clean and it was in a good location. When I arrived and entered the reception I saw the old dingy carpets, the worn leather couches with holes in... More

Well, the price for this hotel is relatively small but the rooms condition is very bad. The rooms are tiny and unsafe as for fire (you can get stuck in your room if any emergency), the lift (old fashioned steel grating) and you can hit the things in your room and be injured. If you are a big person you... More

This hotel was ideally located for a meeting that I was attending the next day and at the price appeared to be worth the risk. I would not recommend that anyone else takes the same risk. I stayed here at the end of last year and my room was filthy. I tried to have a shower and the water was... More
