This was my second trip to stay in the sofitel, on the first I had a room which overlooked a rather grim inner courtyard- so upon return to the establishment i contacted the manager, explained my previous visit and was kindly 'upgraded' to a luxury room with a view.

We stayed here for one night in a very rainy London. It really is a top notch hotel, amazing service, love the french influence, and the bar and restaurant attached is really lovely serving great cocktails and wines. Yes it's expensive but it's well worth the price and you really can't expect to pay much less for a 5 star...

We chose the Sofitel St. James as our base for our family trip in London. Being seven people, three rooms and quite noisy, we were amazed by the friendliness of the staff, the great location, and the perfect setting. The rooms were big, clean and well equipped. It helps if you speak French, but all in all a perfect stay.

We have stayed in many 5* hotels but this was by far the best! The service was spot on and I am hard to please. The rooms are very clean & comfortable. We loved the restaurant very stylish and friendly with excellent food. Location could not be better, so central to everything. We will certainly be back :)
