This is a hotel among tens of similar kind in Paddington area. There is only 200 m walk to the station, bus stops etc. We stayed a total of four nights in our squeezed twin room (less than 12 m2 with shower module), just because we had paid in advance. There was a tiny closet in the corner, two beds... More

Many thanks ‘westhamunited86’forwriting a review of our hotel. As you arrived late all the other rooms in the hotel were taken and it was not possible to move you to another room. As is normal with most hotels in the area the room sizes are compact. I am sorry the staff couldn’t get the television working for you. The receptionist... More

What can I say! Hotel run by foreigners hence a def language barrier. They were quite pleasant at reception but certainly not over-welcoming ! Very basic, we had a quad room, tiny, hardly any room to move. Bathroom the size of a toilet on an airliner Thin plastic cups in room, the type that when you try to drink from them... More

Thank you ‘PetraSA’ for posting a review. I am sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay with us at The Castleton. Firstly I would like to address your comments about it being a hotel ‘run by foreigners’. The hotel is run by a mixture of English, European and Asian staff all with a good level of English. Most visitors to London... More

I choose this hotel because it was close to Paddington Train Station and I came in by the Paddington-Heathrow Express. The hotel is two blocks from the train station and is an easy walk. For getting around London it is very convienient as there is also a tube stop, Paddington, right on the corner in front of Paddington station. It... More

This is a budget hotel, very conveniently located to Paddintong Station and the Heathrow Express. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and were concerned to make your stay a good experience. There was someone on the desk 24 hours. My single room was small, no frills, but very clean. I always travel with ear plugs so got a... More

Cheap as Chips this Hotel, staff could not do enough for us, Breakfast plentyfull. Quiet hotel too, the location was brilliant, If there is no scrambled eggs left at breakfast just ask the breakfast staff they just cook more no worries! Memo's Italian restraurant just across the road is fantastic, lovely food, so reasonable too, Can't fault a thing here!

We had a very noisy downstairs room, but visited an upstairs room and found it was also small but quieter, so asked to move, and moved. The balancing factor is that you are only one street away from pleasant Norfolk Gardens and two streets from Paddington Station, so it's ideal for travelling round. There were no bedside lights for reading... More

Many thanks ‘Csb9’ for taking the time to post a review. I do not understand your fist comment. A hotel is a place to sleep and relax away from home and that is exactly what we offer here at Castleton Hotel. You are correct in your observation that the hotel was once a Victorian town house built nearly 200 years... More

Arrived here for a 2 nights stop before we fly to our next destination and found out that the 3star hotel mentioning in various websites, is just a low end hotel with a good location. Too expensive for what it offers... Definitely not a 3 stars hotel and definitely doesn't worth the 100 uk pounds per night...

Thank you ‘Hambiz’ for posting a review. I am sorry you didn’t like our hotel. Castleton Hotel is a very busy and popular hotel with both tourists and business users. The prices we charge reflect the market demand at the time of booking as is common practise in most hotels. We make sure our prices are competitive and in line... More

We stayed there for three nights 22 March to 26 March. First impression was quite good, the reception staff being very helpful. However the nightmare had yet to begin. The room was at the bottom of the building and although we had booked a double room the size of the bed was NOT a double, more like a three quarter,... More

I am sorry to read that you had an unpleasant stay with us. At the Castleton Hotel we pride ourselves on excellent levels of customer service and reflected in your comment about the reception staff. The breakfast room can get quite busy especially between 08.30.- 09.00 as this is when most guests come for breakfast. During this time it is... More
