In the 21st century I would expect a hotel to be clean, presentable and have ensuite as a minimum. Especially for £100 a room. Really don't understand how someone can have a great experience here. This hotel requires extensive re modelling. There are danger signs for asbestos and a massive lack of Standards in cleanliness. The hotel is a 12... More

I booked myself and my husband into this hotel as the quiet location near Westminster and the prospect of a king sized bed in the capital appealed to us. We knew about the recent refurbishments but was confident in choosing an executive room that we would be in a newly completed room. We were not disappointed. The quality of the... More

Whilst the location is ideal for both Victoria station and Vauxhall Bridge, that is the only good point about the hotel. It is under development unfortunately and the entire north end is a building site. The basic room is exactly that and is more better described as military barracks with no facilities en-suite, save for a sink, and having to... More

This is the worst 'hotel' I have EVER stayed in. Chose for its location never expected it to be amazing but we booked a room assuming that like any normal hotel it would have an ensuite. No, communal toilets and showers, half of which don't work which isn't great in the middle of the night when you need to go... More

Booked 1 night stay 27th April( via Grange Hotels website) prior to travelling to Gatwick from Victoria Station, easily reached within a pleasant 10min walk. After booking online we telephoned the hotel to confirm we had booked correctly and any queries we had were dealt with in a very helpful manner. We were allocated one of the newly renovated double... Booked a family room for a 1night stay and was really fearing the worst. What a fantastic surprise. On arrival was made to feel very welcome, although the reception area is small and décor is very tired, but the hotel is under going renovation. Was taken down to floor A to our room. Our room had just under gone renovation... More

should you go near this hotel. From the officious greeting at reception to the actual room itself, the whole experience was not one I'd ever wish to repeat. The rooms are deeply depressing (tired, shabby, ugly) and there is no ensuite! I had to search for a bathroom on another floor due to current renovation work. As other reviewers have... More

Very near to Victoria station, safe, with all the things I need located within the perimeter. The hotel itself was nice, reminds me of my college days. Quiet and clean rooms with acceptable breakfast. The internet should be free of charge. For business travellers like me, internet connection in the room is a must.

For what you get, it should cost a lot less. It is obviously an old university dormitory and that has been either little or no attention paid to ridding the place of the "dorm" ambience. If happen to be longing for school days when your life was austere and you were dependent on an allowance from your father, and you... More

Overview: I have stayed at this hotel at least 4 times. Firstly, I really don't think this place should call itself a hotel, or even a bed and breakfast. It is more like a hostel. The rooms are very basic. The bathrooms, while clean, are shared. There is not much privacy in the showers as the shower doors are frosted... More
