As I read the other reveiws, I notice people complaining about the toilet being shared for certain rooms. That was a cheaper option that was offered. They chose that option. When we travel, we are there to see the the sights, not spend time criticisizing everything. I booked here to save money, and my expectations were met. Lovely breakfast, clean... More

Currently in Hotel Garth and it's possibly the smallest room I've ever stayed in. Laying in a single bed I can touch the wall on both sides of the room. Quilt cover and bedding dirty, spoke to girl on reception and she wasn't interested. To use the "wardrobe" you must first move the drawers the TV is four foot above... More

Broken tiles on the bathroom floor, the shower door, moldy on the metal, was off its hinges, dreadful sagging mattresses. The garden , shown on their web site, is not accessible. The kitchen help seemed overwhelmed and dejected. My son had an equally dismal room with a sagging mattress, perfunctorily cleaned, a very suspect carpet and a perpetually occupied shared... More

This hotel is very cheap for such a great location in the heart of Bloomsbury: next to UCL, Birkbeck, School of Tropical Hygine and Medicine, SOAS and the British Museum; and an easy walk to Euston and Saint Pancras stations. The facilities are very basic but clean. Toilets are shared, but showers are in the rooms. Breakfast is help yourself... More

Awful nights sleep. Mattress like sleeping on a griddle! Constant water noise from tap sink in room so like Chinese water torture! Scuttling noises all night ? What from!! No loo in room and loo down the corridor was shared between 3 rooms. Every available space has a bed in it. Miserable!

I stayed at the Garth Hotel in Fall 2010. The room was a derelict cubicle with no heating on, dust EVERYWHERE, with a dirty bathroom. The woman at the reception was more interested in watching a film than taking care of my requests. I was so disgusted by the filthiness of the place, and by the rudeness of the hostess,... More

The room was tidy.It was like it was one room cut in two. Would of liked a double bed.Instead we got two single beds lined up on each other. And that was the size of the room. This must of been done to grab as much money as poss. The light shade was dirty. No en suite.Which i knew about. But there... More

I stay at this "hotel" the night before a family funeral, our room and the whole building appeared to be furnished by items from a car boot sale. The room was dirty and the furniture was badly stained. Do not be taken in by the room charge, or the outside facade, we paid over £120 for the nght. I had... More
