I have stayed in quite a few budget hotels in the Shepherds Bush and this one is probably the best. In general the place does feel a bit DIY but the rooms are always clean and the ensuite facilities decent. Rooms at the front of the hotel are a little noisy as Wood Lane is a busy road.

This place should be shut down. Stayed at the Abbey Hotel Sept 2011. The only hotel I have ever stayed at that did not have tea and coffee facilities (manager used current renovations as excuse - go figure). I have stayed at this Hotel many many times over the last 20 yrs. Sebastian the owner is very helpful and its a friendly place situated in the heart of Shepherds Bush. The situation of the B & B (that's being generous!) was handy being opposite The Westfield Shpping Centre and BBC studios. The sheets were clean, but the rest felt filthy. Stayed for 2 nights. Had to pay in full on checking. Wished I had not! Car park a joke as literally miles away. Given bad direction from lady at reception…second mistake… Reception lady/owner has a real bad attitude - not very nice person at all and argues with other guests! Stayed here on 11th August. Location very good for the BBC studios and excellent shopping centre opposite. However, when we got up in the morning there was no water. Was told there was a little but there wasnt. Then was told it would be an hour until water came back (which meant 8am) and then was told 12 midday. So... More

This hotel was horrid, very dirty, room falling apart. When woke in the morning was faced with no runing water so couldnt have a shower or go to the toilet, as would not flush, manager/owner unhelpful in this matter no part refund offered and no sorryness given at all. Would not recommend this to anyone.
