Very cosy hotel with contemporary furnishing and friendly staff. Unlike most big chains I found Rockwell very cosy with a small seating area/lobby, very friendly staff...Wireless worked perfect. Walking distance to the tube. I highly recommend this hotel for especially business travellers.

Stayed over the night with my wife and we had a lovely time. The rooms are so beautifull, helped by the fact that the sun was shining. We had a deluxe double- which was clean and good looking with a 'king-size' bed. One thing that stands out was the garden, which is a great place to relax and have glass... More

Clean and tidy but nothing special. For slightly more you can stay in some great Boutique hotels in London which would be my preference. Sort of feels a bit like a luxury Premier Inn/Travelodge/airport hoel with ultra modern decor, though its all a bit cheap/mass hotel in execution. Plastic room flowers, wifi router plugged in on the table, low power... More

Dear Sir, Thank you for your feedback. We will certainly be taking your criticism on board, particularly with regards to the TV's. It is true that we only have showers in the rooms. Interestingly, it is not a common cause for complaint amongst our guests, as they are often too busy to take baths. English is very well spoken in... More

I really enjoyed my stay here for several reasons. The first is the staff really seemed to enjoy working there and are friendly and efficient. Secondly, it is very clean. Thirdly, it is good looking and has plenty of charm and my room was of a decent size - and the food is excellent. The location is also very handy.... More

Great wee find in London, for such a fantastic location its very well priced, good sized room - remember it is in the centre of a city! Good and clean and friendly staff. We thought breakfast was expensive and wanted a sleep in so bought our breakfast in the tescos store literally round the corner. We had a room over... More

The Rockwell is a small and comfortable property in Earls Court, in Kensington. My double room was very clean and suprisingly large - considering some of the reviews posted about the single rooms. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room but that was not an issue for me. I had the English Breakfast in the morning,... More

First the good things - hotel is easy to find, is nice and clean. Continental breakfast is average - couple of breads, ham and cheese, cereals, yoghurt and fruits. It is wise to book room with breakfast included, as there are no cafes nearby. They offer also british breakfast with higher price. Single room was small, but not the smallest... More

The single rooms are small and we notify customers of this in our hotel literature, as well as in previous posts on tripadvisor. These rooms are intended mainly for solo business travellers that are staying for one or two nights who want cheap accomodation in a well designed, clean hotel with good service and a restaurant. We do have much... More

Room nice size with a totally unusuable upper mezzanine(which should have had the bed not a couch and 2nd tv within 2 metres of the tv downstairs). Shower the size of a postage stamp I could not shut the door (and I'm small!). Management reluctant to supply a 2nd room card, no tea/coffee in room; but guess what? you can... More

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you consider the hotel to be 'strangely managed'. No doubt this is because of the communication problem, which you had with a member of staff (that you cite in your review). As you can appreciate, The Rockwell hires staff from all over the world, which is something that we share in... More

This small, modern stylish hotel has a homely feel and is perfectly located just 5 minutes walk to Gloucester Rd tube station. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very well insulated against the busy Cromwell Road - we were on the second floor and didn't hear a thing. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food served in the... More

Rockwell is in short a stylishly decorated tramp looking good on the outside but quite distasteful on the inside. The single rooms are the size of a fridge (true, usual in London), there was a hole in the wall size of a watermellon behind my bed, the heating/aircon is a problem, the bed mattress is far too soft, there are... Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. The Rockwell does charge for nights that are not cancelled at least 48 hours in advance. This is in line with the cancellation policy of the hotel and this is a policy that is shared throughout the hotel industry. We appreciate that this could have... More
