Olga was a very nice and friendly lady and she cooked a great breakfast. Our room was very comfortable, but had to climb up 3 floors and my knees aren't the best!! A lovely spot not far from the river - we walked along the river into town and back.

I got crammed into an attic bedroom . It is not your guests fault that there was a problem with your answerphone. it is yours, take ownership of the problem. The bedside fan was sticky, it needed to be cleaned, but wasn't all week I was informed that York Castle Museum is the best Museum in Europe, I cannot say... More

Our first B&B in Uk.....directions to get there were clear and we were greeted by Olga, who showed great hospitality. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good. Location is good, walking distance to York or bus to hop on close by. Great start to our holiday.

We had a girl's weekend away in York, stayed at Olga's Guesthouse, very warm, friendly and welcoming from the start. Rooms were clean and the breakfast great. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Me and my partner stayed here for a last minute weekend away. It was good. The location isn't too bad, it's within walking distance of the centre and you can walk along the river. The room and guesthouse are clean. I can't complain about that. It had everything you;d need, a fan, everything. The breakfast is good, good variety and the... More

Olga's is a well-maintained Victorian house with lots of charm. My room was small but clean and comfortable. The price includes a made-to-order full English breakfast that was always tasty, along with a selection of cereal. The lounge/bar is open at all times, and guests can help themselves to beer or soft drinks on the honor system. Olga and her... More

I made a last minute decision to travel to York to meet up with friends who were staying for the weekend. When checking availability everything was fully booked or way out of my price range, but luckily a Bed & Breakfast I contacted which was fully booked recommended this little gem. Now I have to admit I am a fussy... More

Just back from spending three nights at Olga's and it was the best B&B experience I've had. Olga, a down to earth hospitable lady, took a lot of trouble over my comfort and fed me a great breakfast. A fine example of northern hospitality and the best sleep I've had in months. I was sorry I couldn't stay longer but... More
