Nice geographic situation. Close to the railway station, just outside the city center making it quiet and close to the touristic attractions.

I came there to attend a seminar in York and stayed over the weekend to visit the city.
The only down side is the restaurant. Food is good but...

Stayed here for one night on business - room clean, staff polite etc etc etc. however, when orering a meal in the bar/grill I was surprised by the substitution. Stayed at this hotel for my sisters hen weekend.
Staff all polite, friendly and helpful and even upgraded the Hen's room to a river view which was a nice touch.
Breakfast buffet really good and ran until 11am which was great.
Rooms are comfortable and functional, beds lovely! Also lots of twin rooms available which is better for groups.

We stay in this hotel in York because its very friendly, catering is excellent, its very conveniently located on the river Ouse and within easy reach of all points of interest in York. Car parking facilities are, now - excellent and secure.
