Very central, close to all York's attractions including restaurants and shops The staff were excellent - very polite and obliging. We found the hotel very comfortable and clean. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

The hotel itself was £70 a night off lastminute.com which wasn't too bad but then the parking is £15 a night. Mattress too hard. Poor shower. Concierge gone when I suppose to hand over the car key. Room too hot. noisy guest in corridor at 2:30am.... basically, nightmare stay. I will not return ! the only thing which we enjoyed was the breakfast. for the rest, it was extremely painful

We had two nights here at The Hilton and will go back in the future as there is so much to see in this beautiful city. After a long drive & meeting, I had room service and was looking forward to a good night sleep. No a/c during summer meant windows had to be open and the number of drunks even on a Tuesday night was shocking. The black-out curtains did not work from around 3am and I had 2 hours worth of sleep. Never again.

The hotel is very central for access to all of the attractions in York- easy walking distance. The room was average size, but quite dated- needs some modernization.
