From the moment we arrived the service was not what you would expect from a £130 per night hotel. The room looked tired and outdated, the carpet was worn and discoloured, the ceiling tiles were from the 1960's and the shower was only luke warm. Each day the breakfast was a shambles with residents vying for whatever food was remaining.... More

It was like being incarcerated in a tropical prison. The radiators were on full, the windows were sealed shut, the room was oppressive, the room wasn't very clean, the service was poor, I wouldn't recommend staying here at all.

We paid top dollar for an executive room and got a room where the windows did not open and no other ventilation and had a smell of paint and we slept only half the first night. We were moved but not offered acceptable compensation and I rejected their champagne offer. I chose this hotel because of the refurbished rooms in... More

Stayed here for a family gathering - we had a lovely stay - and a great meal. Food on both nights was excellent. Rooms were very comfy and warm. Friendly staff - and a really good bar area. There is a gym but the pool is pretty miniscule - fine for a dip but you have to book a slot... More

Really friendly, helpful staff. Big selection for brekkie (cereals, pastries, fruit, yogurt, full english, various juices , tea & coffee). Restaurant food in the evening was fine, but service a little erratic. Room was good (got the last available twin), bathroom could have been a bit bigger, with a warmer floor, but more than bearable. Could have done with more... More

Stayed at the Lady Anne Middleton's Hotel in August, 2011. Great location, rooms were clean and tidy, food excellent. Staff were only too happy to go out of their way to be helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them to help a couple of senior "Aussies". Would seriously recommend LAM's as a place to stay - "luved it"

This hotel was selected, because it was very central to our needs, and suited our purpose. It was a family. We were able to walk to all our venues. The food was average, nothing to write home about. Rooms were clean and comfortable, some larger than others. It was a quiet hotel, or appeared to be and the staff were... More

Just retuned from another visit to York. This time we stayed at the Lady Anne Middleton's Hotel, location is ideal for getting into the city centre, which is just a short walk. Hotel staff are very pleasant and most helpful, check in was completed in a" jiffy" Hotel car park at no additional cost, which is unusual these days. Room... More
