This is a very nice bed and breakfast: the room was small but very clean and cosy, with very good breakfast and in a quiet position (it took us more or less 10 minutes to walk to the cathedral). Lovely Bed and Breakfast close to the centre of York. Rooms basic but everything you need in them, en suite very nice although small. Breakfast lovely, good choice. Keith is extremely helpful and knowledgeable of York.

we think it is our 5th time staying at the Ambleside and it just keeps getting better we can only describe keith as the :pulse: of York because if you want to know anything about York and its surrounds see him, we had a great time great stay....Sylvia and Jimmy.....

Lovely Bed & Breakfast. Keith was very helpful with where to go and what to do. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms a little on the small side but very clean and tidy. Would definately stay again.

Absolutely love York, stayed a few times. First time at Ambleside but definitely not the last. Keith is very friendly and informed us of various things to do and see. Definitely booking for May 2010.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend in York. Keith really is the loveliest, most chilled out host we've ever experienced. From the initial phone call I had a good feeling about the place. This B&B is in a fabulous location for seeing the sights of York. Ample parking oustide with residents parking card provided by the B&B owner. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful in answering the numerous questions we had in terms of seeing York. we ejoyed our second stay at the ambleside b+b keith is the host with the most he is so polite and so helpful, the rooms are comfortable and clean the breakfast is very satisfactory,thelocation is excellant just a few hundred yards away everything you need to see in York. we would recommend this place to anyone. jimmyand sylvia
