We stayed here for a two night break recently. Fantastic location for visiting Hadrians Wall and Vindolanda. Our room was comfortable, clean and had a great view too. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was delicious. We would definately visit again and recomend to friends and family.

A good range of cask beers, many local, reasonably priced. For my bar meal I chose steak pie. This was made with tender, tasty stewing steak and was most enjoyable. It came with a reasonable portion of chips and fresh vegetables. The pub has a pleasant busy atmosphere
