I have stayed here twice & both times have been excellent, the bedrooms are spotless & comfortable, the owners are so welcoming & friendly & the home made meals are delicious. Will definately stay again next time in the area

The Royal Hotel is just perfect - warm, unstuffy, genuinely helpful, lots of characters, comfortable accommodation, very drinkable beer, great breakfast, timeless surroundings - and NOTHING at all is too much trouble. It quite took me back to the 'real' England of my childhood .
