My partner and I stayed here on Nov 14th for on night and it exceeded all expectations. Perfectly placed in town so everything is in walking distance. There is no parking on-site but there is a long stay car park just over the bridge, a five minute walk and is only £4 for up to 10 hours. We were greeted... More

Having been there for lunch on numerous occasions in the past we were looking forward to it. Since changing hands the furniture has become more minimalist, more akin to a bar that a restaurant. The service is undoubtedly slower, less friendly and more relaxed. We waited 40 minutes for 2 Caesar salads The croutons were heavy, cold, squashy, chewy and... More

The Bellstone is an old inn building in an excellent location. It is an upmarket pub with rooms upstairs, not a hotel as such. Rooms are very basic and the furnishings look like they're from Argos, but everything is well kept. There was a large flatscreen, tea/coffee and good toiletries. Being old the ceillings are a bit low, the floor... More

Stayed at this hotel for my wife's birthday as we were visiting the local theatre. After reading reviews I was confident it was a good choice, but how wrong. When we arrived staff were very good & gave us our key card. Upon entering the room on the second floor (front of the hotel) 1. we realised how noisy it... More

Newly refurbished and renamed Verve@Bellstone this is a small hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are minimalist but it's all there. Good deep bath, lovely towels and toiletries. Comfy bed, coffee, tea, tv. What else does one need for one night?! Breakfast was good too.

Went to Shrewsbury on sat afternoon on the spur of the moment. Hadn,t booked anywhere but came across this hotel, they had 1 double room left, which had our name on it. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and were pleasantly surprised by how clean and freshly painted everywhere was. Lovely rooms, breakfast beautiful and the staff were very... More

The room was brilliantly clean, the bed very comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful and the breakfast delicious and to a high standard. The street noise was a little loud at 01:30am (young tipsey lads) but it was less than I expected as the hotel was in the city centre. Next time we go to Shrewsbury we will definately... More

We were in Shrewsbury last weekend for a family get together. We had stayed here a couple of years ago and thought it to be good value. But I have to say that this place has really improved following their re-furb. The room was clean, well equiped and the bed was very comfortable. We had a late lunch on arrival... More
