We walked a few miles to this pub for dinner but didn't stay.
The staff were very friendly, choice of drinks was excellent - I had a few different beers, all of which were lovely.
The food was excellent too.
It did slightly lack the feel of a "proper" country pub as the clientele seemed to be from a countryside...

I was recommended by a few friends to try the Queens Arms, which I did on Saturday 5th May, We had looked at the menu online before travelling and was impressed with though thought it a bit pricey, felt it was worth trying due to the good reports, well on arriving found it quiet busy, got shown to a table...

We are sorry that you thought that you did not have the service you deserved on a very busy day.
We normally take bookings for our restaurant however; as you did not book a table and the bar area was also full out staff did tried to accommodate you in the dining room and not just turn you away on...

Food was excellent although service was unexpectedly slow on the 2nd night. Large bedroom with lovely view. (room 7). Bathroom pretty but favoured design rather than practicality - quite a challenge to get bath mixer to deliver warm water rather than too hot or too cold! Pub part was great - and welcomed dogs and muddy booted walkers! Fantastic walk...

Had a lovely lunch here with some friends and the food was very nice. We had something light but we saw the lovely Sunday lunches being enjoyed by some others and they looked lfantastic and smelled amazing.

Don't gets wrong, it's a nice gastro pub with nice rooms, in a nice location with friendly staff and locals. But (and I can't properly explain why) I expected more.
The room was reasonably clean (I regret that I always look for dust in the corners - and I found some) but for what is billed as an "executive" room...

Set in deepest Somerset but handy for Sherbourne, Wells and the Levels, The Queens Arms is a great place to stay. We stayed for two nights but could easily have stayed longer. Our room was spacious and comfortable but what made the difference was the quality of the food. Rarely have I found such an inventive menu - fresh, fun...

Location is lush and sitting in the sunny garden was a treat in march. Our lunch -whilst just and sandwich and homemade chips - really wetted my appetite for my evening meal later! Sadly the lunch was the peak - the waitress who served us did not have a clue about the menu. When I asked her details about the...

We only stayed one night in Room 5 but wished we'd been able to stay longer. The room was very comfortable with tasteful and interesting decor, very light and airy and very quiet. A Green Woodpecker calling woke me in the morning. Little touches like the packet of Werther's Originals along with the bottle of water, the filter coffee and...

We had lunch here. It would have been good to know beforehand that parking is limited - if that is mentioned on the website I missed it. There are too many tables in the dining room - I was constantly jostled as other customers and staff passed by - and the acoustics aren't great. The bar looked really nice as...
