I had a one night stay here in May and as with all the HIE's the room was fine. Clean and practical with enough space. However, the breakfast was disappointing. I am not too bothered about cooked food but I do think that honey is an essential accompaniment to yoghourt and there was none. The croissants were also a disappointment... More

Breakfast is said to be complimentary which is more than I can be about it. One morning the hot option was insipid looking sausages the next morning it was insipid looking sausages and beans, and lumps of scrambled eggs. Crockery and cutlery were slow being refreshed. Self service was a bit of a free for all. The room was excellent... More

This hotel is a short easy walk from the city centre, rooms are adequate and clean, bed a bit too hard for my liking but that's just my personal opinion. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly the only down side is the breakfast, the hotel advises that guests avoid the bit usy times between of 9 a.m and... More

This is a very nice hotel, I just feel it would be so much better if it had a restaurant doing good food, ok there is a nice indian across the road but not everyone likes that, 15 /20 min walk into town to decent eateries I just think HIE have missed out here

Dear Guest, Thank you for posting a review about your recent stay. Unfortunately, due to our brand standards and being a Holiday Inn Express, we cannot hold a restaurant on site. We do provide pizzas in the evenings for our guests if they would rather stay at the hotel for dinner and staff are more than happy to provide restaurant... More

Spent 5 nights there and the friendly staff couldn't do enough to make my stay enjoyable. Parking was tight one evening but the receptionist moved her car to make way for me. Breakfast is basic but hot and the tables were cleaned as and when they needed to be.

This hotel was expensive, but in a great location for Bath, with the City Centre being a 10 minute walk away. We were shocked to find out we had to pay for parking when we arrived though. The hotel is clean, modern, comfortable, with all the usual things you expect from a HIE. The breakfast was fine, with a variety... More

Everything that I have come to expect from HIE. There are no frills with this hotel, but it is modern, clean and efficient. I have stayed here a few times and have no complaints, the staff are friendly, breakfast is good and rooms are basic but functional. At almost £100 per night, this might at first glance seem expensive... but this is Bath and this is one of the more, if not the most, affordable hotel in the city. If you are driving, the location isn't bad, on Lower Bristol Rd which is the main road running around the south of the centre. Was quite surprised to... More
