Quite simply filthy and disgusting!! 2 friends and i paid over £130 for ONE night in a 4 bunk bed room. All the bedding was stained and, as at least one other reviewer has said, i got bitten by something while i was there. The toilet / shower room was very dirty and the toilet itself had never seen any... More

This hostel had good and bad points. We were staying in a twin room at the top of the house which was clean and comfortable! However when we arrived the heating was on full blast in our room but bizarrely the windows were wide open!!! The kitchen facilities were also very good but the breakfast proved quite expensive (we stuck... More

Self catering kitchen facilities not that great, broken saucepans, utensils. Toilets and floors need bleaching, room had bedbugs and I had bites after staying here. Great view over Bath though. Driveway really dark at night, take a torch. There are better YHA's out there.

My 2nd experience of youth-hostelling and my last. I am no youth but having heard how akin to reasonable hotels their establishments had become, we joined up last year. Leominster had been the toe-in-water and I thought at the time how basic everything was and how un-cheap it wasn't in reality. Well as others have said, this operation is rather... More

Another Youth Hostel and this one is pretty good. 2 nights accommodation for 5 including breakfast works out at about £150, and the room sleeps 6. The hostel is 15 minutes walk up a hill from the centre of the city and the route is a bit dark getting up to the Youth Hostel, but otherwise it is an easy... More

The hostel is old and very basic, even by youth hostels standard. The management was unprofessional, while we have already occupied the whole room as a group of six, they still gave a key to a lady by mistake into our room. One of the two heaters in the room was not working. Breakfast was fine at a price of... More

Stayed for 2 nights with a friend. Had a 4 bed room - 2 bunks and an en-suite. Considering the room was meant for 4 people it still worked out a lot cheaper than a room for 2 in a Bath hotel. The hostel is situated up a hill and the view from outside looking over Bath was lovely in... More

I'd stayed here for 2 nights. It's quite suitable for teens and students, including the price and environment. But the location is really far far away from the Bath city centre. Getting there by foot would cost 40 minutes. As for the route, the road there was so dark and the uphill was extremely steep. But I must say, it's... More

We have stayed at many hostel in Europe and this is definately no way near top 10. We booked into a private room- we had the bottom floor with a disable toilet. The room smelt very dam. Carpets are dusty. Very strange hostel. The kitchen has all the facilities and lots of place to sit to eat. There is no... More

Lovely stay here. As it sites atop Bathwick Hill, you get lovely views of Bath as you walk down to the city centre. It's a 20-25 minute walk to the city which will be often the most viable option if you're not driving because the buses don't run that frequently in my opinion. Rooms are clean, comfortable and warm. Kitchens... More
