The staff made our stay - they were consistently helpful and welcoming and turned a short stay in a budget hotel into a completely different experience. The facilities were better than expected and everything was very clean.

Premier Inn has a safe formula - you know in advance what you are going to get. What made this one exceptional was the staff. From checking in and out, directing us to the nearest supermarket, ordering a taxi and showing us to our breakfast table, all of the staff we spoke to were friendly, helpful and seemed genuinely pleased... Food excellent Service excellent Room terrible , a see through glass toilet door ( not very family friendly ). Matress very hard and uncomfortable . Heating controls shocking , room was too hot alnight . We all had a very bad nights sleep . Will not be staying at this particular prem inn again .

lovely room, food nice fantastic shops what more can you ask for will deffo stay here again we had a view of the bowling green it was so peaceful ordered food to be taken into room which was ready very quick loved the experience

Have stayed here 3 times to date on business and leisure. The attractive gardens and shopping location with large car parking make this a great family hotel. Shame about the lack of baths in all the generously sized rooms and the rather quirky frosted glass doors to the WC! Being a traditionally constructed building (not timber frame!) noise from rooms... Brilliant all round stay. food good, room spacious, night time quiet. Excellent for disabled facilities. As with all hotels bar prices a little higher than normal but overall a really good value hotel - we paid a reduced rate of £39 per night for two of us
