First time I have stayed here usually stay further up the road. Great room very spacious spotlessly clean Pub had great food great range of beer and the food spot on Breakfast was top notch Will certainly stay again

Stayed just one night but wished it had been longer. Really comfortable and relaxing room, recently refurbished and complete with leather sofa! Great quality pub food for supper and excellent breakfast too.

called in with friends and the pub which looked good had a delightful and recently decorated dining room,Service from Wendy superb and the food as good as it gets.Very knowelegable staff on bitter and a thouroughly enjoyable visit.The brill dining room was first rate and we will defo return.

We booked a night at this Inn for our wedding anniversary and we can safely say that we will be going back, despite the fact that we only live in Colchester! Stayed one night in Room 7. Quiet, clean and comfortable, lovely fluffly towels and crisp white sheets. Sufficient room; bathroom was big, shower nice and powerful, although it appeared that someone had nicked the bath! Stayed here to explore the area. Well situated for this. Our room was in the annexe- a Georgian house next door. Well decorated and furnished. We expected some street noise but never heard a thing.
