We needed accomodation in Ryton due to a family funeral and wanted to stay in walking distance of family in Ryton. All the other hotels were full and luckily we found room at this hotel. Value for money but the hotel or would call it a motel - you check in at the bar of the restaurent - no reception... More

I booked my son and his girlfriend into the hotel for a weekend stay at Easter and was very delighted and would recommend going back. The staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The service we received was excellent and the room was very comfortable. My son's girlfriend is in a wheelchair and they catered well to allow for... More

We booked the Function Room adjacent to the restaurant to celebrate our Silver Wedding with around 85 guest on the Saturday before Easter 2013. A couple of meetings with Giacomo beforehand agreed the buffet menu, table layout and running order for the evening. Nothing we asked for at this stage - including a dish of Paolo’s delicious Mussels to be... More

Sadly, some restaurants are unique for all the wrong reasons. Michelangelo’s is definitely not one of them. After all, a restaurant that’s been around for 12 years clearly has a lot going for it. When we go out for a meal, it’s all about value for money represented by a good choice of well prepared food, reasonably charged & efficiently... More

Haven't stayed in the hotel but went over with friends for tea. We have been a few times but the first time our friends ate here. The staff are the most friendliest people you could ever meet and so fantastic with the children. The food is absolutely lovely and amazing value. I would recommend anyone to use here.

Michelangelos has been a favourite of mine since I first went 3 years ago. I think I have sampled everything from their menu! The happy hour menu is great value for money getting 3 courses for less than £6. The potato skins are always golden and crispy and the homemade BBQ sauce is to die for! I normally have the... More

I have visited this restaurant several times and it has to be said that I have never had a complaint yet. The staff are friendly the food is great and the bill is even better. Our most recent visit was no disappointment either. For less than £20 both the Mrs and myself had 3 courses and a drink each.. As... More

The unlikely combination of a gifted chef, great food and welcoming staff meant that my experience at was first class when dining at Michelangelos. As soon as we arrived we were seen to our table and given time to relax and unwind in our own time before we ordered our meals. When it did come to the food the range... More
