I stayed at this hotel for one night with my boyfriend, and on first appearance thought it was nice. . . .even though it doesn’t really have a reception area.   Things went downhill when we realised how thin the walls were.  We were kept awake by a baby next door all night.  We also found ants in the bathroom... This hotel was booked solely on the positive and high reviews it has received on Trip Advisor, what a mistake! Bad Points 1) Claims to have onsite parking, it does not! Their idea of onsite parking is the back lane behind the hotel. The street the Hotel is locatecd on is Permit parking only. 2) On entry through the main... More

Stayed for one night over the Easter weekend in room number 8, the room was very clean and a nice size and the bathroom large and modern. I cannot believe how the last two reviews gave this 1 star. The room had 2 bottles of water and tea and coffee making facilities and also 2 bathrobes so a lot more... More

terrible, never ever again! My room smelled like an old rug and was dirty! The lady manager avoided me, I paid online and was very much disappointed.

The room was very small. ( this was the £105 one ) The front of house and dining room staff ( same person) was slow and inefficient. " Breakfast " was a bad joke. Just how difficult is coffee and toast. The toast was two slices of bread - one toasted one not. I gave up on the coffee after... More

We booked two of the larger rooms (whilst visiting a family member in hospital) to accommodate 3 adults and two children aged 5 and 8 . The hotel itself is 'cute' although one of the rooms was much smaller than anticipated, on the upside the most comfortable sleep we have ever had in a hotel, great beds and bedding. The... More

We stayed here in September just for a night. We loved the hotel. It was very stylish, lovely room, lovely breakfast and an honesty bar which we enjoyed very much after our night out down Gosforth High Street

We were the only people staying at the Townhouse and were put into Room 1, which by any standards was small for a sumptious double en-suite. The shower room was in the corner of the room and the sink was tiny, everything about our trip was certainly not four star accomodation. Our breakfast was luke warm and did not live... More

We've stayed in Newcastle several times when visiting family, and have a new favourite hotel. The Townhouse Hotel is just off the Gosforth High Street, close enough to shops, the Metro and buses to be convenient, but far enough away that it's quiet. The hotel is small, more like an inn, and has a great cafe on the main floor.... More

We stayed at The Townhouse while we visited family and friends for Christmas. What a fantastic place. Our room was spacious, well decorated and great shower room. Nice bathroom products, screwed to the wall so you don't steal them (!), and lots of fluffy White towels. Breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty, alongside a full continental buffet. In...
