Stayed for 4 nights over the May bank holiday.. as on previous stays at Silverlink, which is in an excellent location for Newcastle, the coast & Northumberland, was very comfortable.Dean & his team work very hard to make your stay as troublefreesome as posible.Food in the cafe bar is good, comfortable lounge area and bedrooms.I would choose Silverlink over any other local location.

This hotel is not as bad as some of the reviews make out. Yes, the carpet in our room was coming away, the shower wasn't the powerfullest I've used, the bath small, room basic, but for the price what else should you expect. The room and bedding were clean and that's the most important thing I believe. Breakfast was ok... More

A night in the Toon was what we went for and so we needed something cheap but something that was known. We picked this for only £22 per night double room what more can you say at that price? The rooms are basic but one of our group had a room so big we could have all slept in there!!... More

Stayed here for one night as a base for a night out at the coast. Didn't expect much as it was so cheap but would have at least expected a clean and comfortable base. The room was big but it was dirty and in desperate need of a refurb. Marks and dents all over the walls. The bathroom has seen... More

What can I say about this hotel. Its a Travelodge. Its friendly, convenient and cheap. This one is also in dire need of a refurbishment (but them most Travelodge's are). The Chair is plastic and so uncomfortable it warrants a miss. Finally, the window was so badly fitted it felt like a gale was coming through.

I am thankful that me and my family only had to stay in this hotel one night as it was terrible. As soon as we got there and checked in, the receptionist directed us to our room "up the stairs and in the lift" when he could clearly see we had a baby in a pushchair, and it went downhill... More

Badly needs new mattresses and there was a fair bit of noise due to the number of very drunk guests returning in the early hours. Possibly not the best place for families as the second child bed was particularly poor. However, it was cheap, the bar was ok, and I slept fairly well so overall it just about gets an... More

Just spent 3 nights at this hotel for an overall cost of £66. We travelled from Hull to support our sons play at Acadamy of Light against Sunderland and then the North Tyneside Festival of Football.Yes this hotel is basic and dated but the only reason you stay at these budget hotels is to have a base to work from....
