We stayed in the East Byermoor Guest house on March, 2012, and I would recommend this Guest House to anyone. We met Mr Holford and his daughter, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were spotless, well furnished and decorated; the breakfast was an absolute winner, and the porridge with cream is just amazing!

The wife and I stayed in the East Byermoor guest house for a week while attending a training course in Newcastle. She has written her own review, but I just wanted to add my own observations.
It is hard to over-rate this B&B, principally because of its (newish) owners, Karl & Jacqi Holford, daughter Amy, and Karl's lovely mother Edith....

We needed accommodation for 5 days while on a training course near Newcastle, and made our choice of the East Byermoor because of its good rating on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed; indeed, I found the place to be even more attractive than depicted in its website photos.
Main plus points: spotlessly clean and well appointed, good sized bathroom (certainly...

Our 2nd visit at the end of September 2011 was following a wedding reception at Langley Castle.
Again our room was spotless and the food (B & B) was very good. We went to the Pack Horse Inn, Burnopfield, for our evening meal, it was good and fair value, so much so that we returned there every night.
The owners...

We stayed here to visit nearby Beamish and the Durham coastal region and found the property and location very good.
However, as a previous reviewer mentioned, the bed was very uncomfortable (well used and ready for replacement) also there was nowhere to sit in the room except on the bed - which would account for the edges collapsing. With no...

Owners are extremely accomodating, delicious breakfasts, beautiful coffee. I stayed in the Garden Room - twin bedded, didnt find the beds particularly comfortable so had to double up my duvet! (could feel the springs!) but quality of room/bedding/towels was very good. My parents stayed in the Fellside which they rated highly. Stayed here a few years ago, and was very...

We stayed at this B&B for one night only and really enjoyed our stay. It is a way out of Newcastle, which was not a problem for us. The rooms were clean and well appointed and the owners friendly and hospitable.
This a lovely guest house out in the country, so nice and peaceful, but near enough to Newcastle / Gateshead for those who like the bright lights. Our experience was good right from the start. I had booked on line and forgotten to specify a ground floor room - our room was changed to ground floor immediately. The rooms were...

We stayed here for three nights mainly because we were seeing Take That in Sunderland and we wanted to visit the Beamish Museum. This is a great base for the museum which is minutes away and also very close to Newcastle whilst being in lovely peaceful countryside. Breakfast was served in the very pretty gothic style conservatory and could not...
