I hadn't booked a room but thought that a Travelodge would be a good, reasonably priced, bet for a room for the night. It started well - Receptionist was really helpful, very friendly and couldn't have asked for better. However.... then discovered that I had to pay to park the car (wasn't too impressed) then I got to the room... More

We pre-paid for breakfast online, upon checking in we had to point this out as the receptionist had had no idea and would not have given us a voucher otherwise. The parking ticket machine just swallowed our money without printing a ticket, and then we found out that we didn't need to pay as the machine was out of order.... More

This is the second time that I have stayed here and we got a bargain room for £10 for 1 night. The room we had had been refurbished but it was cold even with the electric heater on full. The bed wasn't very comfy and we were rudely woken around 1.30am by a group having an argument in the corridor... More

This really was a dire Travelodge. My friend booked it without realising it was so far out of Birmingham and not even in the centre of Walsall, so we had to endure a long bus ride from the city centre. Upon arrival the building looked like some manky 1960s office block. Inside wasn't much better. The room was tired and... More

This is a hotel well placed for the M6/M5 on a ring road. There's not much in the way of facilities or entertainment nearby so its bar and restaurant is useful. The room was the usual standard of cleanliness- which is only just acceptable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I ate in the hotel and took advantage of... More

First impression of the rooms that was step up from a prison cell, the most basic of basic, however for a nights stay and little time spent in the room other than sleeping and using bathroom. Beside a busy road throughout the night, but not too noisy. Staff were helpful but running back and forward from the bar/breakfast room, it... More

The hotel itself is clean and functional. i got a great rate for bed and breakfast so in that sense it was fine. However my room was like a fridge. It had a small radiaiter which i turned up full but which made no headway whatsoever. i was on my own in a twin room so had to use the... More

Over the years this hotel has moved from being a Forte Crest, to a Quality Hotel and now has reached the giddy depths of being a Travelodge. I agree with the other reviews that the staff do a great job, even though they're fighting against the odds. I had a refurbished room - 305 if you're interested, although I couldn't... More

I'll feel so sorry for the staff here. Prior to arrival I was dreading this place due to previous reviews but when parked up outside (for £3) I actually thought it looked fine. The reception area looked fine and we were greeted and booked in by a member of staff called Linda who couldn't have been more friendly and professional.... More

Upon arriving 10 minutes early was told to 'WAIT' till 3, then once in the room, we had wall paper peeling, black marks where pictures must have been before, the bath room was growing mold everywhere. I found that neither my iphone charger nor my sister's blackberry charger would fit in the plug at the space between the bottom of... More
