Have stayed here before when it was another Hotel chain, it doesn’t look like much has changed here since. I chose it due its location, and price. I wouldn’t stay there any longer than one night though.
Hotel has parking and free wi-fi. The rooms aren’t that clean, nor was the cutlery at breakfast (which was sufficient). The room was...

Clean room but no hot water from the shower & it wasn't a power shower as advertised. Also the mattress was very uncomfortable and had we been staying longer than one night we would have probably ended up with backache. I had pre-booked breakfast & didn't feel it was worth £4.95 pp as it was basically cereal, toast, fruit, croissant...

after reading some of the reviews before arriving we were a bit apprehensive but on arrival we were made very welcome as we didnt know where anything was in Birmingham we asked the receptioninst where places were which she sorted out for us by giving us the address and postcode of places, problem with heating in the room but was...

The staff in this hotel are unbelievably rude and despite advertising a 24 hour bar the choose to close the bar at free will when they feel like because they cannot be bothered. The choice of breakfast is not great, there is no option for a traditional english breakfast. The rooms are very tidy, but that is the only upside...

back a year after the last visit and it has now changed hands. The only difference is that the staff seem friendlier and more willing to help, even going out of their way. One of my main bugbears is the lack of decent milk for tea, but they were happy to let us take up enough milk from the restaurant...

This hotel used to be a Holiday Inn Express and changed only a couple of days before we stayed. We were travelling with cats so we were a little concerned that they would change the animal policy. They did honour our booking which was nice of them. Pity they did not let us know about the change and it was...

The room was very clean and simple, very nice shower. Stayed two nights, i would be happy stay here again. Good choices for breakfast, but the scrambled eggs were salty. Pub next door was convenient for dinner, that was only ok nothing special.
Booked this hotel when it was under the Holiday Inn Express management. Received an email from HIE a couple of days prior to travel to confirm this was now known as the Castle Bromwich Inn.
Phoned the hotel to be told they hadn't kept the franchise but everything would be just the same as my booking. Richard was verfy helpful...

Firstly, this is no longer an Express by Holiday Inn, but has been sold and is simply called Castle Bromwich Inn. In its favour, the location is very convenient, just off the M6, near to the NEC / airport and with a reasonable pub next door for food. Our room was clean and tidy, as was the rest of the...
