When we got to the pub we thought we had come to the wrong place, as there were no pictures of the "hotel" on the booking website, just pictures of the lovely rooms. The locals were quite colourful binge drinkers, and mostly smokers. The car park entrance is a kerb, which you mount to park at the back of the... More

We had a booking here last week and when we arrived we realised when walking through the pub we had entered on an evening when a Birmingham football match was on and this is the supporters pub ( it is in the car park of the stadium). We were there for a confence the following day and after being shown... More

This was a strange experience. There was a big conference on and most of the hotels in Birmingham were booked so I ended up here, not having read the reviews first. A mistake. The hotel is situated in quite a rough part of Birmingham, a good 45 minutes walk from the centre of town. Downstairs is a pub used by... More

Arrived late (around 9pm) and as previous have said, had to walk through a local boozer to get in. Had to drive up onto the curb and across path to park out the back with the beer barrels, 2 elderly severely drunk people blocking the doorway. Not a nice feeling. people stared as though you had just dragged yourseld out... More

After booking our stay through late rooms we were lead to believe that the royal george hotel was a pleasent clean welcoming hotel. The pictures showed a classy bar, nice rooms and an ouside bar next to a canal... To our shock on arrival we actually thought we were at the wrong place! We double checked on the satnav and... More

A very poor review I'm afraid. I unfortunately did not read any reviews prior to booking (bad move). I arrived to what only can be described as a "local boozer". When through the bar and as previously stated by others was watched by all. The barman nodded a hello and walked me straight to the lift and awaiting room. Explaining... More

My daughter and I were attending a party at the Birmingham City ground so booked this hotel based on location. Yes, I had one or two gripes but the management dealt with things quickly and professionally. I was advised there was going to be a party in the function room that night but we didn't hear any noise from it.... More

We booked this 'hotel' in a hurry without reading the reviews, however when we did read them, we did not believe it could be so bad....but sadly it was. 'Hotel Reception' leads you to either a bar where local drinkers look at you like you're a circus animal. Then you are led to the 'function room' to where the lift... More
