Basic hotel about 3 miles outside city centre in a nice suburb, could do with a bit of updating which seems to be in progress all be it slowly. Not bad for the price charged though and staff were very pleasent and helpful

What ever you do, do not under any circumstances book a room in this place. We had booked and paid in advance for 2 nights stay. Horrible experience. Had booked 4 nights there but had to leave after 2. Never saw anyone at reception, the rooms smelt of years of dirt and body odour, and I didn't see another soul for my whole stay there. The advertised bar was closed. Never again!

I feel a bit bad complaining as it is cheap for a hotel a short bus ride from the centre of Birmingham, but there really isn't much to say for it. Very basic. The rooms were clean, but the staff otherwise seem largely uninterested in their hotel, to the point of appearing surprised when you ring the doorbell. A 2003 desk calendar wrapped in dirty plastic forms part of the check-in desk. The decor is pretty hilarious 1970s--four poster beds, carpeted bathrooms. It's in a residential area.
