well i have had nightmares that look like this !! I haven't stayed in many hotels but the ones I have my stays have been quite pleasant and I'm not a snob but this hotel was horrific. For a family room that has 1 towel..no bath plug. Me and my mum were staying just for one night thank god. As... More

Fort Dunlop could easily be 4 star, but ... how do I start, other tripadvisor reviews give a clue: Seriously Poor, Worst ever hotel, Confusing parking, Terrible, Clueless, Dangerous, Don't get your hopes up, Dirty, Filthy like a hostel, Worst in UK, Never Again, Needs Love and Attention, Scrambled Eggs smelling old and solid as a rock. My example: sofa... More

Location great if you don't get mugged in the carpark. Staff cluless and scruffy. Room was and old office with a bed. Used my iPad as a pillow as thicker than the soiled one on the bed. Sheets older than me and took budget beyond what anyone would generally expect. Hot water for a shower would have been a nice... More

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Curtains were ripped bed sheets smelt stale water in shower was cold and tv was from the 60's Chanel 1-5. Only hotel that I have to check out of after being in their for 2 hours. Staff did want to know and their excuse was cos I had been in their for 2... More

Partner and i stayed here as an alternative to staying in Birmingham city centre car parking - when we went, on a weekend you could park in the pay and display car park round the back of the hotel - its free - do not park in any space with a number in it as this means it is a... More

Where to start on this one..........well, the positives, there was a roof above my head for a week and it was free as I was on a training course, because there is no way it is worth £19 pounds a night. Probably for me the worst part of the stay was when the fire alarm went off and there was... More

Good enough for a stop-over, but not anything special Tips: you can get on the roof if you ask nicely at the office recption next door (worth it for the view!); Drop-off for the reception wasn't well sign-posted but is in the underground car park - make a note not to miss this! Get your food elsewhere (you could see... More

Confusing car park. A long way to the hotel from the car park - not good with children and mobility problems. At least they have a lift! Basic room. At least everything worked! A good base to explore from. Toaster was difficult to use, but otherwise everything was okay.

Stayed here for a week as my wife and I had lots of meetings in the area. Great location shocking hotel!! Cheap- not bad cheerful- far from it. I don't know how old the Hoover is but I bet it will last for years as the poor thing is never used!!! We had a massive cob web in our bedroom... More

I went to this travel lodge with 3 friends for a night out in Birmingham. To say the least you definitely get what you pay for. Poor customer service, check in stated 2pm on the confirmation email and after spending 20 minutes trying to figure out the car parking with minimal signs and calling reception to check we were ok...
