Functional. The housekeeping is good, but the rooms are bare and the entrance hall and walls need a serious clean. Staff pleasant but may have poor grasp fo English. Excellent cafe for breakfast or lunch in supermarket opposite. Fast food eateries next door, but not recommended. Can get to Solihull on bus and Birmingham centre by a longer journey. Better... More

... on second thoughts, go and stay somewhere else, unless you have paid absolutely rock bottom price and/or don't want a night's sleep. The mattress was like the Rock of Ages, the room bare and basic and charmingly accessorised by grubby flowered curtains which didn't meet in the middle, a TV from the Early Mediaeval period, minus remote control and... We had 3 rooms midweek at this Travel lodge. My room was fine, could have been better but was clean. Unfortunately, in one of the other rooms the heating didn't work and the receptionist didn't know how to fix it, or know anyone who did or offer to customer. The 3rd room was noisy. It does not state on the... More

Oh dear, the room was well used, lots of stains on the walls. No tv remote, on asking a member of staff I was dealt with the answer they're all broken or been nicked. Staff obviously not paid enough to care. No sheets provided for the sofa bed for the kids. Very smelly shower curtain, yuck. The bed was made,... More

This Travelodge is located off the A435 in the Maypole area of Birmingham Convenient for Sainsburys and other local shops. Close to main road networks, there is not sufficient illuminated signage. Parking can be found behind the row of shops which include Subway, KFC, and Wilkinson's. The reception is found on the front street next to KFC and is accessed... More

Stayed here because of it's location to a sports centre that was holding a karate tournament. The car park was busy, littered, with smashed glass in some parking bays. The reception smells of the Subway beneath it. The room was basic with some very dubious stains on the walls. The TV had no remote, curtains didn't hang properly, broken toilet... More

What a nighmare booking with and staying with Travelodge, Maypole. We booked the hotel for a family party within Birmingham, unfortunately due to a death in the family, we had to cancel the Hotel for the dates booked and re book the same hotel for a funeral. We had nothing but problems doing this within their website and customer services... More
