I stayed at this hotel last December for 1 night, before travelling on in the morning. After finding the hotel which is not very well marked in the area, you have to go up a flight of which is not easy to climb. Checkin was painless, but the state of the room was disgusting, dirty, marks on the wall. I... More

BAD POINTS: paying £10 to checkin 1hr early is ridiculous in this day and age,but company policy, I was informed by the duty manager. Not wanting to waste time on our SHORTbreak sitting in hotel reception we paid the tenner ,magically our room was ready room173 asking for a quiet room after reading reviews online, we were disapointed after being... I stayed here one night with my family. The room was filthy. The walls were covered in stains, marks and goodness knows what else. THe comunal areas had an unpleasant smell of strong air freshener. We had breakfast in the morning which was very poor. In short, I'll never stay again, even if it was free.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel on my birthday as it was so close to broad street. I had previously read the reviews and was slightly weary about what we would find when we arrived. When we did arrive the lady on reception was polite and was attentive. Our room was on the first floor and it was... More

Two things to bear in mind if you stay here: - ask for a quiet room on the back - the front of the hotel overlooks the cinema and is a large open area just asking for people to see how much noise they can make and how much it can echo! - if you have heavy luggage there is... More

Note: his is not a place you would bring a family for a Birmingham break. It is more for those who want somewhere to sleep near to the town centre, as it is not far from the main pubs and clubs in Birmingham. If that's what your looking for, then this is the place to stay, this Travelodge has everything... More

Stayed on the 18th February. Had been a little nervous as previous reviews didn't make very good reading. Room cost £29 for three of us, with breakfast extra. Struggled to find the hotel for about 45 minutes and not in a great area but, for what we paid for it, it was adequate and clean. Main bed very soft and... More

Can't say that we experienced the cleanliness issues that other reviewers did thankfully. The room was basic but clean. The staff on duty on the night we stayed were really helpful and the breakfast was pretty good. Major downside for me was that the bed was very soft but then - plenty of people prefer that. We stayed on a... More
