We ate at the Whitcliffe Hotel last night with our new TasteCard. Slightly concerned about the huge building with smashed windows we drove past to get there, but it looked as if refurb plans were on going. We were greeted by the wonderfully glamarous Louise on reception, seated with the entire place to ourselves, and given the menu's. 3 courses,... More

A little apprehensive about our recent visit after reading last comment however we stayed in room 37 on the ground floor a huge room I would guess around double the size of most disabled hotel rooms. More than adequate for a wheelchair and access to all the room's facilities. My husband is blind and I found the staff to be... More

Stayed in a Twin Room whilst at a family wedding. Everything worked in the spotlessly clean room No27 in the new block. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits on the table in the room. Bedding and towels very very clean. The food at the wedding reception was excellent as also were the young staff all immaculately dressed and very efficient... More

As the hotel is quite small in comparrison to other hotels in the area the staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble and were always extremely pleasant. On check in we were informed that some of the rooms were slightly dated but still clean, warm and comfortable. We were there to celebrate New Years Eve which included a beautiful meal... More

Cheap cheeful and get what you pay for the sort of hotel that is full of builders and shop fitters . The rooms are large and clean and the typical mix and match furniture that you would expect at this level. TV reception was useless shower was pathetic no pressure and on one of the hotest days of the year... More

Stayed here overnight on a Tuesday as had a factory visit of a carpet company nearby on the Wednesday. 1st impressions of the area aren't too good as you drive to the hotel as many buildings were boarded up etc. Upon arrival we were greeted by a well kept hotel. The lad on reception was welcoming and gave us our... More

I stayed at the whitcliffe on business, it was booked at the last minute and as a woman travelling on her own it is not of place I usually stay preferring to stick to the well known chains, however the Whitcliffe was great especially at under £50 per night. I was given a great room with a four poster bed... More
