Visited here for a meal one night whilst staying in the area. Food is really good, homemade quality! Reccomend the fish and chips! Did not have to wait too long either, even although the pub was quite busy with lots eating that night. Staff very good as well, excellent customer services. Facilities very clean. And you get a good pint... More

I spent 2 nights here in April. Small room but very comfortable bed and nicely appointed bathroom. Had dinner one night and this was really excellent (had the set 3 course meal for £17.95). The bar lunch can also be recommended. The staff were very pleasant and always keen to help.

I stayed just the one night but what a great hotel. Room was large, clean and very comfortable. Great breakfast, all locally sourced produce and well presented. Warm and friendly staff. A definite return stay in planned next time I am in that part of the world.

We had a great meal last year at the hotel so we decided to have our wedding anniversary break at the hotel this year. What a great choice despite the amazing snow. 10 foot drifts. We made the car park and that was just about it for the weekend. But who cares. The staff were absolutely great and the breakfasts... More

We were made to feel extremely welcome even before we arrived, as it was booked over the phone. The hotel is cosy, and like Haworth it feels like nothing much has changed in 200 years, except of course running water and clean modern facilities! The location is second to none,if you are a Bronte fan and visiting Haworth for this... More

I've just returned from a one night stay with a young friend who is studying the Brontes' works at university. She was new to the area and blown away by the warm West Yorkshire welcome of the White Lion staff. Being from just down the road, I expected nothing less - but it's still great to be on the recieving... More

The Old White Lion is situated at the top end of what most visitors would consider the main street of Haworth. It is a 17/18th century building which has kept much of it's charm. Our room (room 4) was quite small for a double room, but was very clean and comfortable. I wouldn't want to stay in that room for... More

We have stayed here a few times over the years and always love to come back. It had been quite a while, so we were pleasantly surprised to find that not much had changed. Still the same great hospitality and warm friendliness from all of the staff. Still the great food at great prices and most importantly the same willingness... More

Just returned from a 1 night stay. The view from the room was excellent (9). Clean comfortable room. bar areas ok shame all the open fires have been replaced. Would have provided more atmosphere. Generally staff friendly but the bar man. Didn't talk to anyone! Food was good but too quick from starter to main. I thought the breakfast was... More

Having read the reviews I was expecting something special ......what I got was an ok hotel that is in sertious need of a re-vamp. decor and furnishings in the bedroom (8) somewhat dated and a little frayed around the edges. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean though. We chose to eat in the bar on the first night....my venison... More
