Went to this hotel back in March and to be honest I was pleasantly surprised. We got it as a cheap last minute deal and I thought when we got there it was going to be a run down cheap hotel but it was quite the opposite really. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable and fantastic room... More

Stayed one night for business. Location is good - close to good restaurants and pubs. Check in was professional and friendly. The staff were very helpful and chatty throughout the stay. Public areas were fine - pretty busy and noisy at times however. The decor seemed as if a certain amount of money had been spent on somewhat modernising an... More

Had a lovely stay with a great executive room, but with it being a weekend it was a bit noisy at 3/4am! Breakfast was great, and the overall service was very good.

The title says it all really: the reception area, bar and restaurant are nicely done out and have some classy chandeliers! But the bedrooms are a bit pokey and dull. That was the general impression of those in the group who stayed there when I did. The bedrooms are pretty small, not particularly well decorated and could probably do with... More

Very disappointed . Room was gloomy and uninviting . Bathroom was good size but grubby grout let it down . Decor all over the hotel was drab grey colour . Didn't get very good reception . Ignored completely while three members of staff tried to get computer system working , finally apologised and offered me a drink and wavered car... More

This hotel is well positioned in the middle of Birmingham and only a few minutes from the station. However that's the only positive thing I can say about my stay! Lift broken on arrival and room on the fourth floor! The room was very shabbywith old furniture, water marked chair, mouldy bathroom tiles and a shattered door frame. The room... More

Looking for a hotel in Leeds with parking is a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack but hubby and I were after such a place centrally located for a good night out. Discovered The Met and got a great deal, 'Friday Fizz' £69 for a double room with a bottle of sparkling wine in the room on... More

Recently attended a wedding at the Met Hotel in Leeds, it is a great place for a wedding. They made everything perfect for the happy couple and their guests. The staff were very attentive and nothing was to much trouble for them. Even when the fire alarms activated the staff were really on the ball. Getting everyone out of the... More

I stayed at The Met recently in a single room on a bed and breakfast tariff. I booked via an online agency and paid £56 for a night. The Met is slap bang in the centre of Leeds with a busy road in front, an access road to the left, a car park to the right and The West Riding... More
