Stayed here for a stag do, it wasn’t booked by ourselves so didn’t know what to expect. Welcome was ok, but with no parking by the hotel we had to park in car park a few minutes down the road. Rooms – We stayed in a 9 bed Dorm which consisted of 4 bunk beds and a single bed. All... More

No customer service at all, room very basic, bed was impossible to sleep in, noise unbearable, and they even started moving furniture around downstairs after 1am !! Went down for breakfast but they didn't even know we were staying. We would not stay there again, nor recommend it, the local operatic society was in the room below ours singing till... More

When we checked a couple of weeks beforehand by telephone, the proprietor said we had no booking.... he said they had recently taken over and had no knowledge of previous bookings.......he was booked up and was not going to help... In fact we never stayed here as it was unsuitable for my disabled daughter. It is a pub with no proper reception. When we arrived it was noisy, the manager appeared in a casual shirt and shorts a 70th birthday party was going to be taking... We do not hide the face that we are a pub which offers bed and breakfast. the customer had come in on a busy sat evening when the pub had been open all day. This potential guest did not even see the rooms. As the guest has mentioned they had booked wrong hotel and also wrong dates, when I spoke... More

No maid service in 3 days, appalling breakfast and cold showers - every day! indifferent management but friendly bar staff and our hearts went out to the lady having to serve the terrible breakfast. Couldnt believe the signatire dishes in... More

My wife & I stayed for one night on the 12th September 2011. on arriving, the very friendly Irish barman gave us a free 24hour parking permit, so that we were able to park just around the corner, a very short walking distance. He took us up to room 5 on the top floor, which was a large room with... More

We stayed for a weekend in December 2010 and we were really impressed. We had the family room and brought our own travel cot. The room had a double and single bed and was clean and cosy. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were ever so friendly and helpful. Parking is difficult - we parked on the next road to... More
