A very accommodating, warm and happy place to stay! Bethan is an excellent hostess and chef. This hotel has great food and very comfortable rooms. There's a Sherpa bus stop right outside the front door which will take you to straight to Pen-y-Pass, Capel Curig, Pen-y-Gwryd, etc. Such a great base for many local hiking excursions. I can’t wait to... More

Were told about the excellent food in this hotel on quite as few trips to Betws Y Coed, decided to give it a try. We popped in to the bar for our tea and were really impressed by the lovely staff. They were really helpfull and friendly. The decor is a little dated but if you can look past this... More

Had an evening meal approx 6:30 on a Saturday evening. Mixed grill & steak/ale pie, raspberry & lemon pastry with lemon ice cream. Both meals were excellent. Good value at £40 with couple of drinks. Would use again

We really appreciate finding pubs & accomodation which are dog friendly. The Pont y pair bar meals were really big portions, beautifully presented, good quality food and reasonably priced given the size of portion. Really liked the neat touch of french bread with the meal. The staff were both attentive and polite. We look forward to returning.

Recently spent a week in Snowdonia on a walking holiday with our two Golden Retrievers. Really disappointed at the number of pubs displaying No Dog signs on the entrance until we came across this gem. Really nice welcome from the staff, food really good (all sourced locally, we had the roast beef), good ales & all at a good price.... More

I've eaten here many times and the food is always excellent. always fresh food with plenty of choice to suit all needs. Sunday lunch is always superb and the Duck with cannelloni is well worth a try, also there is a wide choice of real ale and reasonably priced wine.

I was staying in Betws-y-Coed for two nights while working locally. On my second night, I wandered up the road from my B&B to the Pont-y-Pair Hotel for an evening meal. The prices seemed very reasonable, and I selected a chicken with bacon and garlic dish from the bar menu - and to say I was pleasantly surprised with the... More

We stayed here over the weekend of 25th Jan 13 for a walking holiday in Snowdonia. The weather was atrocious but the Hotel was excellent. The bedroom was fine but where it really stood out was with the food. Full english the one morning followed by smoked salmon, scrambled eggs on toast the next - you could not fault it.... More
