I was looking for somewhere special to stay for the weekend as I was invited to my nephews wedding (which was taking place on a campsite). This hotel surpassed expectations and reviews really can't do it justice. The staff were exception in their willingness to make the stay there pleasant. The décor was a unique, well imagined, mix of traditional... More

We stayed for 3 nights here on our first visit to Wales. Our initial reason for booking was both the location and that they were happy to allow dogs to stay. We have been thoroughly surprised and delighted with our stay. The food was amazing, the staff could not have been more helpful, the afternoon tea scrummy and the hotel... More

This is a really hard review to write. There was nothing massively wrong with this place and I echo what many reviewers have said. The views were phenomenal, the staff friendly and the evening meal delicious. However it was somehow lacking in atmosphere. I don't think this was just because there were hardly any guests or we were the only... More

We came across this hotel at the end of a long and tiring walk - desperate for a cup of tea the staff could not have been more helpful. The Chef was asked if he would mind making us a plate of sandwiches and a pot of tea - what emerged was amazing. Home-made freshly baked Welsh cakes with a... More

Took a post-Easter break with the family and stayed 3 nights here. The hotel is just exceptional in every regard. The friendliness of every member of staff, the quality of the food and the location just make it a perfect choice for a walking holiday in north Wales. We stayed in the family suite which fitted us perfectly, looks out... More

This is the seventh visit in just over two years and it's the sort of hotel that, once discovered, you just want to keep coming back. The location is fantastic, accommodation excellent, food can't be faulted and the staff and service should be awarded six stars out of five. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone went out of their... More

My husband and I fell in love with this hotel. The location, the food, the helpful staff the room, everything about it was just perfect. We stayed here for four nights and nothing was to much trouble for anyone. We ate at the hotel everynight and had a different meal everynight. Every dish was beautiful and very tasty indeed. The restaurant has such... More

I booked my ticket through Booking.com for the hotel on 3rd March. We had a trip planned with friends for the Easter break. Unfortunately within hours of booking, we had to cancel the trip due to personal reasons. As father of one of the friend fell seriously ill. I promptly notified both Booking.com and the hotel requesting them to cancel... More

We have recently come back down to earth after our stay at the beautiful Craig-y-Dderwent Hotel in Betws-y-Coed. I have wanted to take my wife and our 2 dogs somewhere special and how lucky we were to find this hotel and all it has to offer. All the staff are so welcoming, professional and so helpful from the minute we... More
