Great staff, amazing evening entertainment, disappointing amenities and room. The view was adequate overlooking the bay, the cost of the room was over priced given the size of the room and the bathroom amenities (i.e. shower curtain instead of glass enclosed shower). Good job its a spa - I arrived much relaxed after a 30 min row with Cardiff Council Parking 'Operatives' (as per other comments inadequate Hotel CP was full by early evening.) Had two days in Cardiff recently and opted for St David's Spa Hotel. Was my birthday and wanted to feel pampered so booked some spa treatments. Bliss. can recommend treatments for general feeling of relaxation. Great also to be able to swim in the pool and take advantage of some of the spa facilities. All staff very welcoming and helpful.... Stayed for two nights - good Concierge Service - distant & disinterested Reception Staff. Zero Warmth, Luxury or Comfort - in foyer area - makes you a little apprehensive as to what rooms will be like (ambience akin to Office Block or Modern Hospital). Enjoyed my 4 day stay at the St. David's Hotel in early April, 2013. Good service, excellent room service and food. Nice room, bed. Very good size, lots of room. Loved the balcony and the Great views of Cardiff Bay. Location handy to lots of restaurants at the Mermaid Quay. Easy 25 - 30 minute walk downtown. Enjoyable stay.
