Had an amazing time at the Celtic Manor. I have just returned from a spa weekend break with my girlfriends. The staff were great, the bedrooms beautifully appointed, service excellent, food very good. The spa was beautiful. I had a massage which was quite relaxing and the therapist was very good. I will return!
We have just returned from a 2 night mid week stay at Celtic Manor's resort hotel. The price paid for the bed and breakfast offer seemed really good value, although of course we did spend a lot more in their restaurants and bars. In summary a great stay with very good facilities and lovely food.

Has a nice weekend, at the Celtic Manor, we used the spa which was busy once the children were allowed in. Children had there own allocated time. We eat in the Olive Tree Restaurant which was a very high standard and very enjoyable. The drinks were expensive but you expect that when staying in a 5 star hotel.
When ariving to this establishment we noticed the hotel was not sign posted as much as we had hoped so ended up geting lost on route. Eventually reaching the hotel we sign in at reception. When approaching our room there was cleaning in progress, there was empty alcohol bottles left in the walk way untended. With regards to the room...

When we arrived we were checked in by a reception supervisor, we requested a newspaper for the following day which did not arrive. Our visit to the Olive tree restaurant - we were directed to our table which quite possibly was the worst table in the restaurant as we were right next to the employees workstation, my husband was facing...

I've returned from this hotel/resort unsure whether I would return or not. I did read reviews prior to our stay and probably went with a negative view.
I was disappointed to see the hotel perched high above the roundabout off the M4, after all the resort is set within 2000 acres. I was disappointed more when we discovered our room...
