We paid just under £100 per night for a 6 night stay during the Ryder Cup - this didn't even include breakfast. .... and let them keep their £35 cancellation and went to the Holiday Inn instead for £80. This is an adapted house in a grubby area rather than a hotel. The website is highly misleading.

Clean, comfortable, pleasant staff, good breakfast. Good value for money.

Arrival depressing. Room tidy but cleaned only superficially. Several missing lightbulbs. Cracked and leaky shower. Poor quality furnishings - pillows especially uncomfortable and curtains grubby. Basic breakfast only. Poor facilities in colleague's disabled room - shower blocked and no chair. Surly response to complaints. Was probably nice once but now...

comfortable beds, there is a smoking room, you can take in your food, very good cokked breakfast-nothing much for continental but i am sure they would care for if we asked- bits in the room not good(bathroom door wouldn't open fully, shower frame at bottom hanging off) but so welcoming staff i wasnt bothered 10 minutes walk to centre
