We stayed with Nick and Maddy when we were in the area for a friend's wedding. Our other friends stayed in the room opposite ours. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very attentive. The fresh warm welsh cakes on arrival were a really nice touch. Recommended to all.

Really enjoyed our stay at Barlands Cottage, the initial offer of fresh milk and welsh cakes made us feel very welcome. Appreciated the info on pubs, the map and the needed torch. The bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable and well-equipped. A lovely breakfast with a very welcoming chatty host - just about perfect! We've already raved on to others... More

Whilst touring Wales we chose to stay at Barlands Cottage after reading the excellent reviews it had received on Trip Advisor and we must say they are all 100% correct. Nick & Maddy were perfect hosts, making us very welcome, the accommodation was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day.... More

We enjoyed a lovely few days at Barlands Cottage over August Bank Holiday weekend. We had booked the larger of the two rooms and it was excellent - large and comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome and really appreciated the offer of fresh milk for tea/ coffee when we got back each day - complete with warm Welsh... More

We had a tremendous few days at Barlands Cottage at the end of June, and as soon as we arrived we started to relax, helped by the friendly welcome from Nick and Maddy, who were always ready with excellent advice and the occasional irreverent quip. A handsome room and very good breakfasts. I cannot recommend this highly enough as a... More

We stayed for four days and would gladly return. Nick and Maddy are excellent hosts, with nothing being too much trouble and the superior bedroom that we stayed in was beautifully decorated and had everything one would wish for. A true five star experience. Gordon and Elizabeth Queensland Australia

We have just returned from a wonderful three day break on the Gower staying in the delightful home of Nick & Maddy (not forgetting Roxy!!). This B&B is in a fantastic location - easy to reach Gower Beaches, Mumbles and further afield. Nick & Maddy were very helpful in advising on walks and restaurants as well as making fantastic breakfasts... More

We couldn't ask more from Nick and Mandy. They were true hosts offering great local knowledge of the area with some brilliant suggestions of places to visit, and eat. The B&B was very clean, in a great location, with lots of great little touches that really made our holiday very special. The Welsh cakes we got on arrival were so... More
